Waivers, Extensions, Exemptions

Effective October 1, 2007, all Georgia's Clean Air Force (GCAF) Waiver Centers will become GCAF Service Centers.

The previoust GCAF Waiver Centers are closed and five new full-time GCAF Service Centers are open in Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett counties. Part-time service centers are open in Cherokee, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Henry, Paulding, and Rockdale counties. For a complete listing of GCAF Service Centers, click here.

GCAF is also partnering with metro Atlanta tag offices to offer waiver services. GCAF recommends contacting your local tag office to find out the services they offer.

GCAF Service Centers will not only offer Repair Waivers, Senior Exemptions, Out of Area Extensions, and assistance with other exemptions, but will also assist with general information about Georgia's I/M program.

Georgia's Clean Air Force does not offer temporary waivers or tags in any situation.

Motorists are now able to print Georgia Vehicle Emission Inspection Reports (VIRs) for free by clicking here.

Please allow 48 hours for processing any faxed or e-mailed applications. Motorists will be contacted once the waiver has been processed.
