Recertify Your Station

Please read the following instructions carefully and ensure you have all the required information and documentation prior to completing your Station Recertification Application. The Station Recertification Applications must be submitted electronically. When completing the application, do not use ditto marks or enter “same” in any fields.

Required Documents

In addition to the Recertification Application, you are required to submit copies of the following.

  • Current years’ business license

  • Current W-9 for the business (PDF only)

  • Certificate of Liability Insurance

  • Photo ID (driver’s license/state ID) of the station owner

  • Verification of Lawful Presence with the United States

  • Site plan drawing

  • Documentation from your internet service provider, including the static IP address.

Electronic copies (scans, camera photos, etc.) are acceptable but copies must be completely clear and readable.

NOTE: GCAF only accepts documentation in English; documents in other languages will not be accepted. Additional documentation may be required in order to process the request to become a certified inspector.

After GCAF determines your application is complete and the supporting documents meet the requirements, your application will be sent to EPD for review.

If your station failed its most recent audit or the station license has expired, the application will be pending until your station passes a renewal audit.


What’s Next…

Please allow between two (2) and four (4) weeks for processing applications. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.

The applicant will receive a confirmation number for an online submittal to acknowledge a successful transmission. Please use this number when referring to your application.

The applicant will be contacted by email once the application is processed.

NOTE: If the applicant fails to upload the correct documentation, he or she will be contacted by email. In this case, when the correct documentation is received, the processing time resets to the times outlined above.

Industry Advisory Board (IAB) members* are also available to answer specific questions regarding station management.

*The IAB is comprised of emissions testing owners, managers, and testers and is independent of Georgia’s Clean Air Force (GCAF) and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
