Georgia’s Clean Air Force (GCAF) has five full-time customer service centers located in Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett counties. Part-time customer service centers are open in Cherokee, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Henry, Paulding and Rockdale counties. GCAF also partners with metro Atlanta tag offices to offer waiver services. GCAF recommends contacting your local tag office to find out the services they offer.

Please note: not all tag office locations offer waiver services. Contact your local tag office for additional information. 

GCAF Customer Service Centers not only offer Repair WaiversSenior ExemptionsOut-of-Area Extensions, and assistance with other exemptions, but also assist with general information about Georgia’s I/M program.

Georgia’s Clean Air Force does not offer temporary waivers or tags in any situation.

For questions regarding repair Waivers, Senior Exemptions or Out of Area Extensions, call 1.800.449.2471. When contacting GCAF, please reference your vehicle identification number (VIN) and/or license plate number.

Please allow three (3) business days for a response. NOTE: If the application packet is complete, it will be processed within 3 business days. If the application packet does not contain all applicable documents required by the extension, exemption, or waiver, or the documents were not verifiable, the applicant will be notified, and the processing time will take longer. When the correct documentation is received, the processing time resets to the times outlined above. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received. The applicant will receive a confirmation number for an online submittal to acknowledge a successful transmission. Please use this number when referring to your application. The applicant will be contacted once the application (or extension, exemption, or waiver) is processed.
