COVID-19 UPDATES

Tag Renewal Deadlines Extended to June 15 To Allow Motorists More Time to Complete Emissions Tests

Vehicle registrations that expire between March 16, 2020, and June 14, 2020, are being extended through June 15, 2020. Learn more.

If you do not feel comfortable traveling to an inspection station for testing at this time, you have until June 15 to complete your emissions test and registration (if your registration is due between March 16, 2020, and June 14, 2020). At this time, no additional extensions or waivers are available. If this changes, we will post updates here.

Some inspection stations have temporarily closed during this time; however many stations remain open. We recommend that motorists visit our list of testing stations to view the contact information for testing stations in their area, and call ahead in order to confirm operating hours before traveling to a station.

Some county tag offices and all Georgia's Clean Air Force Customer Service Centers have temporarily closed. Please contact your county tag office with any tax-related or registration inquiries.
